Our Story

Who We Are

Chosen Gatherings is fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to awakening Jewish spirit and cultivating resilient, connected community for today and for generations to come.

We exist to create spaces where Jews and allies come together through tradition, celebration, and shared experiences. By weaving timeless rituals with contemporary culture, we inspire connection, cultural pride, and a true sense of belonging.

Through thoughtfully curated Shabbat dinners, concerts, salons, and holiday celebrations, we honor our heritage while reimagining Jewish life in ways that are vibrant, inclusive, and relevant for the next generation.

As a grassroots movement that has already welcomed thousands across New York, Los Angeles, and beyond, Chosen Gatherings stands at the forefront of reimagining modern Jewish community.

Tracy Komlos, Founder

Growing up in Montreal, Tracy attended private Jewish schools but never felt deeply connected to Judaism through the education system. Instead, her relationship with Judaism was nurtured at home—through Shabbat dinners and holiday traditions shared with family. With grandparents who were Holocaust survivors, Tracy grew up hearing about the tragedies they endured, though for much of her life, those stories felt distant and belonging to the past.

For years, Judaism was a part of her identity, but not something she led with. That changed after October 7th, which awakened something profound within her. It sparked a personal longing to weave Judaism more deeply into her everyday life, and an urgent call to create spaces where her peers could connect meaningfully with Jewish identity, community, and ritual. This became the catalyst for founding Chosen Gatherings.

Tracy brings over 12 years of experience designing and leading retreats, events, and gatherings around the world. She has built global communities across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, welcoming thousands of participants into transformational experiences. She has advised and led creative strategy for wellness and hospitality brands and has been recognized as a visionary entrepreneur and community architect.

With a background in building global communities and a lifelong passion for creating spaces of connection, Tracy is now channeling her energy and expertise into cultivating a new era of Jewish gatherings—blending tradition with contemporary culture, fostering belonging, and inspiring resilience for generations to come.
